We have created this time for you to continue reflecting upon the work of restoring, rebuilding and renewing our worship and community life by looking at Nehemiah chapter 1. Nehemiah reads like a personal memoir and from the first chapter we feel the sadness he experienced. One of the first things he does with his sadness is pray. In his prayer, he remembers who God is and he accounts for his and his family's regret. In other words he confesses his sin. This invites us to consider the power of confession for the work of restoring, rebuilding and renewing our own life, community and church.
