New Member Orientation
Our New Member Orientation is a 2-hour event that will introduce you to the mission and ministry of Grace UMC and prepare you for going deeper in your relationship with Christ and this congregation. The orientation is designed to help you think about where you are and what your next steps can be in walking the path of a disciple of Jesus. As part of the orientation you will be invited to continue on for a six session group discussion of the book "A Disciple's Path" with other new members. The Disciple's Path provides you with a daily guide for reflecting on how you can go deeper in your love of God and other people.
The New Member Orientation and subsequent Disciple Path discussion groups are conducted at various times of the year and the next one will be Sunday, August 13 at 12:15 p.m. Lunch is included as are all the Disciple Path materials. Child care will be offered as needed. Please let us know if you need childcare when you register.
After you attend the new member orientation and the six Disciple Path discussion groups, you can let one of our pastors or group leader know what Sunday you would like to join the church during one of our worship services. On that Sunday, you will be introduced to the congregation by one of our pastors and invited to make your membership vows. If you've never been baptized or would like to renew your baptism, this would be a great Sunday to do that as well!
